Kuselan – Superstar marks it bigger

What is so special about Kuselan? If you had felt that Rajnikanth appears just for few minutes and he has got nothing to do the film, you are wrong. If he had shined in all his previous films with a kind of super-hero roles hitting 25 people at a time, uttering punch dialogues and so on, superstar overbeats them all with his stunning naturalistic performance. Precisely speaking, Rajinkanth in most of the scenes in Sivaji was presented in an artificial manner, but he makes up for it with this film that has nothing to with heroisms.

Pasupathy on the equal lines draws more importance with powerful performance. His characterization as a poor man, yet living up with dignity binds us towards him. Meena as his wife and three school-going kids are so good with their performance and it's the best way that P.Vasu has applied to attract women audiences. On the contrary, Nayanthara has nothing more to perform and the Director has used her to entertain the young lads with her sultry looks. As Rajnikanth said, Vadivelu has much and equal importance to that of Pasupathy and himself. More specifically, its P.Vasu always makes use of Vadivelu in a more entertaining way as in his previous flicks Chandiramukhi and Thottal Poo Malarum. He appears all throughout the film spelling out enjoyable comedy tracks and his performance during the scene where he meets Superstar for the first is of top-notch act.

The film is so simple and as well-known to all of you, it is about two friends Bala Krishan aka Balu (Pasupathy), a poor barber in the town and Super Star Ashok Raj (Rajnikanth) who is a famous leading actor. After thirty years of time, both these friends meet and how would be their reactions? These attributes have been well-delivered during the climax sequences.

The entire film moves on with lots of comedy and the final 20mins of the film is sure to move you emotionally that will have tears falling down your cheeks. Earlier, you would have spotted Rajnikanth crying more in his yesteryear film Aarilirundhu Aruvadhu Varai. Over here, you have been the same and enhanced performance as he sheds tears.

Apart from this, Rajnikanth fans have lots of answers from him for the questions they wanna figure out to him. He has spoke about his reason of fleeting towards Himalayan areas, when is he entering into politics? And he has a stunning answer to the question of why actors like Kamal Haasan show off more to the lay people.

These sequences are really a great treat for fans of Rajnikanth and at certain points you have filmy Rajnikanth at shooting sequences.

G.V.Prakash does his best in churning out good melodies and the song 'Sollu Sollu' is really a feet-tapping number and Aravind Krishna has picturized all the songs so well. In fact, cinematography happens to be the main highlighting aspects of the film.

On the whole, Kuselan is a movie that everyone should watch along with their family members…
